Our Mission

Special Olympics Bharat is a National Sports Federation also registered under the Indian Trust Act 1882 in 2001 and is accredited by Special Olympics International to conduct Special Olympics Programs in India. We are dedicated to providing year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Our mission is to help create a world where every single person is embraced and valued, regardless of ability. Through the power of sports, we strive to make a positive difference and promote inclusion for individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Sports Psychologist, PH.D.

Dr. David Kane is a highly experienced sports psychologist with a Ph.D. in the field. He is dedicated to supporting and enhancing the mental well-being and performance of athletes with intellectual disabilities, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.

Education:

Ph.D. in Sports Psychology from University of California, Los Angeles

Masters in Applied Psychology from Stanford University

Certifications:

Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) from the Association for Applied Sport Psychology

Dr. Lynn Fader

Sports Psychologist, PH.D.

Dr. Lynn Fader is a dedicated sports psychologist with a Ph.D. focused on empowering athletes with intellectual disabilities to excel in their respective sports. She is committed to providing personalized support to help athletes build resilience and achieve their goals.

Education:

Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from University of Pennsylvania

Masters in Sports Psychology from University of Florida

Certifications:

Certified Consultant, Association for Applied Sport Psychology (CC-AASP)
